What it is...

"Good friends, cold drinks, and great stories—because the best nights are the ones we barely remember with the people we’ll never forget."

About

The Marauder's Bane is a cozy, hidden tavern nestled near the towering gates of Uldah, offering weary adventurers a place to savor a warm meal, exchange tales, and test their mettle in a friendly arm wrestling match.Run by The Matron's Trinity, a group dedicated to fostering unity among the people of Eorzea, the tavern serves as a gathering place for those seeking camaraderie and opportunity. Whether you're a prosperous merchant or a humble farmer, there's always room to lend your skills to the cause. The Matron's Trinity’s flag, emblazoned with a rose cradled by a pair of wings, symbolizes their unwavering commitment to freedom and beauty—principles they strive to protect above all else. What that means may vary from person to person, but within this close-knit crew, the essence remains the same: family, protection, adventure, or perhaps a little bit of all three. Here, everyone finds their place.Beyond its nightly operation, the tavern will also occasionally host music festivals, drawing performers and audiences from every corner of Eorzea. These gatherings celebrate the rich traditions of song and dance, bringing together minstrels, drummers, and dancers in a vibrant display of artistry. From soulful solos under the glow of lanterns to raucous revelry that lasts till dawn, these festivals serve as a reminder that music, like adventure, is best when shared.

(OOC NOTE)

Above all else, my goal is to create a welcoming space for those who often find themselves roleplaying alone. Rather than idly standing around in the Quicksands, I want The Marauder’s Bane to be a place where characters can naturally form connections, fostering meaningful interactions in character. There are so many incredible roleplayers out there who have poured their hearts into crafting detailed, well-developed OCs, yet have no one to share their stories with. If that sounds like you, I want you to bring your character to the Bane—I want to hear their stories, see them come to life, and give them a place to belong.Eris, my main OC, is written to be approachable, making it easy for her to connect with all kinds of characters. If you struggle with initiating interactions or have anxiety about approaching others, don't worry—I’m more than happy to do the work for you!Since I’m too busy OOC to commit to long-term campaigns or romantic storylines, I’ve built this space as a hub for roleplay outside of grand adventures. The Bane is a place for characters to form in-character business relationships, friendships, and bonds that can enrich their stories in new and unexpected ways. Whether you’re looking for a casual conversation, a trade partner, or a deeper connection for your OC, you’ll always have a seat here.

Meet the Owner!

The Marauder's Bane operates entirely through trade, not for profit, but to support and collaborate with small farms and businesses. Rather than exchanging gil, Eris ensures that every item on the menu is sourced through meaningful partnerships, reinforcing a cycle of mutual aid.She regularly travels between the city-states, offering goods or labor in return for the food and drink served at The Bane. Fresh produce comes from Gridanian farmers, who trade their harvest in exchange for her help in the fields. In Limsa Lominsa, she works part-time as a dockhand, securing the tavern’s supply of beer and ale. Moonshine and mead are sourced from Lucky Lunar Spirits, a trusted vendor she frequently features at events. As for the meat? That’s hunted personally by Erisamuna herself, ensuring every cut is fresh and earned by her own hand.Through this system, The Marauder’s Bane remains more than just a tavern—it’s a thriving network of hard work, trade, and community.

Game Rules

Staff will not be spectating matches, so it is up to you to keep track of points. If you need clarification on rules though feel free to send a tell!

Knife Throwing

The element wheel on the wall is the dart board
You must provide your own knives
It works pretty much the same as normal darts./random 20 to see what you threw, the lower the number the better. 1 is the bullseye! Here is a macro if you're wanting to make one! Just copy and paste it into your macros as is!/throw
/random 20

Arm Wrestling

  • Both A and B start with an initiative roll to establish advantage. (/random 20)

  • The person with advantage then has 2 "attack" rolls to defeat their opponent by rolling /random 20.

  • Person B rolls defense each time, but their roll drops to /random 10 after their first failed defense attempt.

  • If person B rolls a successful defense, then advantage is switched to them and the same defense rules apply to person A.

Example:A and B roll initiative and A startsboth roll /random 20
A: rolls a 16
B: rolls a 14A wins that roll, so now B's defense drops to 10A rolls /random 20, but B has to roll /random 10A: rolls a 14B: rolls a 6A won the roll again so they win the matchALTERNATIVELYA and B roll initiative and A starts
both roll /random 20
A: rolls a 16
B: rolls a 14
A wins that roll, so now B's defense drops to 10
A rolls /random 20, but B has to roll /random 10
A: rolls a 5B: rolls a 7B won that roll so THEY now have the advantage and get to be on the attack. Same rules as before. They have to win 2 consecutive attack rolls to get the win.
