The Marauder's Bane

(plot under construction)

What it is...

The Marauder's Bane is a small tavern tucked away just outside of Uldah where adventurers can find a hot meal, trade stories, or prove their strength in an arm wrestle! The tavern is owned and operated by The Matron's Trinity whose aim is to nurture relationships between the people of Eorzea and provide work or goods to travelers in need. Whether you are a wealthy business owner or small town farmer, there is a place for your skills among the Trinity.Their flag proudly displays a rose surrounded by a pair of wings, meant to symbolize freedom and beauty, the two things they strive to protect above all else.
What that means differs person to person, but it is all the same in this crew. Whether it is a family, protection, adventure, or all of the above... you will find it here.

Game Rules

Staff will not be spectating matches, so it is up to you to keep track of points. If you need clarification on rules though feel free to send a tell!

Knife Throwing

The element wheel on the wall is the dart board
You must provide your own knives
It works pretty much the same as normal darts./random 20 to see what you threw, the lower the number the better. 1 is the bullseye! Here is a macro if you're wanting to make one! Just copy and paste it into your macros as is!/throw
/random 20

Arm Wrestling!

Both A and B start with an initiative roll to establish advantage. (/random 20)The person with advantage then has 2 "attack" rolls to defeat their opponent by rolling /random 20.Person B rolls defense each time, but their roll drops to /random 10 after their first failed defense attempt. If person B rolls a successful defense, then advantage is switched to them and the same defense rules apply to person A.

Example:A and B roll initiative and A startsboth roll /random 20
A: rolls a 16
B: rolls a 14A wins that roll, so now B's defense drops to 10A rolls /random 20, but B has to roll /random 10A: rolls a 14B: rolls a 6A won the roll again so they win the matchALTERNATIVELYA and B roll initiative and A starts
both roll /random 20
A: rolls a 16
B: rolls a 14
A wins that roll, so now B's defense drops to 10
A rolls /random 20, but B has to roll /random 10
A: rolls a 5B: rolls a 7B won that roll so THEY now have the advantage and get to be on the attack. Same rules as before. They have to win 2 consecutive attack rolls to get the win.

Fight Rules

Fights can be either NORMAL (Meaning a reasonable amount of damage such as broken bones, cuts, etc) or EXTREME (Possible life threatening injuries, loss of limbs, etc) We will only pair people with others in their designated ranking and limits can be discussed with the ring master in party chat. No healers are provided by default so enter the arena at your own risk!

Before the fight begins, both opponents will enter a party with the Ring Master who will keep an eye on the rolls and maintain fairness and honesty. All ooc chat/rolls during the fight MUST be made in PARTY CHAT (/dice). There will be no rolls visible to the spectators so that immersion is maintained.

Fighting Basics

-Fighting posts are to be done in /yell
-Both fighters /dice and the person with the higher roll goes first
-Fighter A will write out their attack as an attempt and then /dice
-Fighter B will /dice and if they roll higher than Fighter A, they successfully block/dodge the attack. If they roll lower, then the attack succeeds.
-Based on the outcome of the roll, -Fighter B will write out their reaction (Dodging, getting hit, etc) and then write out their counter attack.
-Rinse and repeat
-3 hits to win
⭐The level of damage needs to be reflected based on the difference in the rolls. If you just BARELY roll higher, then you need to reflect that in your writing. If the attack is 600 and your defense is 1, then that ALSO needs to be reflected. If the announcer feels as if you are disrespecting your opponent by downplaying the damage you take, you will not be allowed in the arena again.⭐

Counter Attacks

-Person A does their attack roll.
-If Person B’s defense roll is 500 or more than Person A’s attack roll, they gain a chance to perform a counter attack.
-Person A and B both roll again as if it is an attack roll by Person B (Person B goes first)
-If the attack roll succeeds, Person B gets a point and RPs the counter attack as a success.
-Person B proceeds to their next attack turn as normal and the fight continues.
You can not get a counter on a counter attack. succeed or fail, the fight proceeds as normal
